According to data communicated by Central European market data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu, new car sales in the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia are up 11% year-on-year in May to 357 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,720 units, up 9% on 2013. This month the VW Golf is head and shoulders above the competition at 7% market share, reclaiming the year-to-date pole position at 5.3% vs. 4.9% for the Skoda Rapid down to #9 in May. The Ford Fiesta is down just one spot to #2, while the Opel Astra (#3), Ford Focus (#4) and VW Polo (#5) jump back inside the Top 10, as do the Citroen C4 (#8) and Ford Kuga (#10).
